At Marston Green Junior School, our Science curriculum endeavours to develop pupils’ curiosity about the world around them. We encourage children to ask questions, explore new ideas and develop a sense of wonder about the natural world. In lessons, through practical investigations and hands-on learning, pupils develop important Working Scientifically skills. They learn how to observe carefully, make predictions, carry out simple tests, gather information and draw conclusions. They are encouraged to think carefully, solve problems and use evidence to support their ideas. As a result, they develop the knowledge and skills they need to understand the world around them.
