At Marston Green Junior School, our reading curriculum aims to foster a lifelong love of reading and develop confident, enthusiastic readers. We aim to inspire curiosity through a rich range of high-quality texts and deepen pupils’ understanding of language, themes and the world around them. Our pupils have opportunities to explore a variety of authors, genres and perspectives, using their reading skills to make connections, think critically and develop as independent learners.
