Our Mathematics curriculum aims to build strong foundations so that all pupils develop confidence and enjoyment in maths. We focus on securing key skills and knowledge through fluency, helping children become accurate and efficient with number and calculation. When they are secure, pupils are encouraged to reason mathematically by explaining their thinking and making connections between concepts. They also develop problem solving skills by applying their learning to a range of real life situations. We want all children to become confident, resilient mathematicians who are well prepared for the next stage of their learning.
